A Message For Former Enfish Customers

Dear Enfish Customers,

EasyReach is delighted to welcome you as a customer! We have created an exciting new desktop search solution that not only offers fabulous desktop search capabilities but adds the ability to find and retrieve information while you are away from your desktop using a BlackBerry, smartphone or any internet browser.

Technology from Enfish is at the core of our desktop search software. For benefit of previous users of Enfish software, we provide the following product descriptions:

  • Enfish Find has been replaced by EasyReach Find v2.1.0. The pricing is $49.95 (same as it was at Enfish)
  • Enfish Professional version 6.1.4 has been replaced by EasyReach Workspace v2.1.0. The new pricing is $99.95 (previously $199.95)
  • We now offer EasyReach for mobile devices. Use your BlackBerry or other smartphones to find information on your desktop computers AND deliver it to your device or to others - via e-mail or fax.

In addition to the availability of EasyReach Mobile, Enfish 6.1.4 users will also notice that the new products now support indexing of over 350 file types. Many bugs have been fixed, and many new features have been added including the indexing of filenames and metadata. Also, there is improved upgrade notification - no longer will you miss an upgrade. And there is a simpler license key interface so you won't get any surprises about expired license keys. When you receive your new license key, you will receive access to a ReadMe file which details all of the features and fixes.

Our Web site also provides a Customer Center where you can manage all aspects of your account. You can download software, ReadMe files, manage and upgrade your license keys, configure Remote Access services and access our online help from one central location.

Anyone who purchased a license to Enfish Find or Professional will get a free upgrade to the equivalent EasyReach product. In order to use the new product, you will need a license key. We will contact all customers in the Enfish purchase database on or before November 18 2005 by email. The email will contain a new license key along with some special offers. Your old Enfish key will no longer work with the new software.

If you purchased Enfish and you do not receive a mail by November 18, 2005, please contact us.

EasyReach is also announcing a new e-mail support and product upgrade policy.

  • If you purchased Enfish software (Find or Professional) within the last 12 months, you will get upgrades and support for one year.
  • If you purchased the software prior to that time, you will get 3 months of support and upgrades.

When your upgrades and support expire, you can renew for 20% of the retail price per year. For instance, yearly support/upgrades for EasyReach Find will cost $10/year.
